Speech-Language Therapist and Audiologist

I grew up in Krugersdorp and matriculated from Monument high school. I am married and we have a son. We are a close family and love spending time together.

I obtained my B.Comm Pathology (Speech-Language and Audiology) degree, Cum Laude, from the University of Pretoria in 2004. After obtaining my degree I was placed at the Department of Health: West-Rand Region, where I did my Community Service year. I facilitated the prevention of disabilities through appropriate and adequate awareness, education campaigns and screening activities.

In 2005 I implemented an early speech and language intervention centre at the Yusuf Dadoo hospital, which focused on the early identification of children at risk for developing speech and language delays, as well as the treatment of at risk children.

Since 2005 I have been working in the private practice sector, providing Speech-, language- and Audiology services.

I completed my M. Communication Pathology degree, in Early Communication Intervention in Children 0 to 3 years, through the University of Pretoria in 2008. Early Communication Intervention is my passion. I love working with children presenting with articulation errors, language- and language learning problems, auditory processing disorders, stuttering/normal dysfluencies and language developmental disorders. I have a soft spot for my adult patients battling with a hearing loss or having communication difficulties due to a neurological condition.

I became part of the Child Well Team in 2011. In 2011 I joined Laerskool Kenmare’s multidisciplinary therapy team.

In 2015 I saw the need for a multidisciplinary therapy centre and started the multidisciplinary Family Therapy and Hearing Centre. I take my work and my practice very seriously. Each and every child that comes my way is viewed as a unique creation in the process of developing into his/her full potential.

I provide speech – language- and hearing services on a weekly basis at Panorama Retirment Village, Curro Kids, Curro Krugersdorp, Laerskool Krugersdorp Noord, Norie Nes kleuterskool, Laerskool Protearif, Laerskool Kenmare, Jubileum, Kenmare Knikkies, Proties kleuterskool, Little Genius, Steppin Stonez, Top Top Teddies and Gateway school.

I do believe that each day is a gift and that you should live like there is no tomorrow! My #1 motto in life is to choose encouragement over criticism, grace over judgement and faith over fear!
